My journey is very different from a typical “grew up with horses” story. I loved animals particularly horses and often wished I had studied to be a vet. Life never took me in that direction, I ended up travelling and living in the big smoke of London and Melbourne for many years, working in business development roles for the architectural and signage industries.

My late 30’s gave me the confidence to take the leap, I enquired about an Equine Bowen Therapy Diploma. I remember so vividly being asked, ‘do you ride?,  ‘what is your experience with horses?’. My heart sank I felt my lack of experience with horses may set me back to be accepted into an Equine diploma. Understandably my teacher was pretty concerned about my lack of experience.

I like a challenge and I just knew it was what I wanted to do, I convinced the teacher that it was for me.  It was a very steep learning curve but one that I have never looked back from and took on with absolute passion. I have grown so much from that one change of path, I now ride my horse Kobi, live in beautiful Emerald and run my own equine business, I have to pinch myself…..
